PARK and Brightside, a new banking app for Albertans that helps you spend and save for what you love, have collaborated with local artistic duo, Nasarimba, to launch #STAYBRIGHT at The Rise on St. Patrick’s Island.

Launching Thursday, July 30, this immersive, unique, and temporary art installation, located around the 9-metre high hill at the centre of the revitalized park, offers Calgarians the opportunity to stay connected and active while following physical distancing guidelines laid out by Alberta Health Services and the City of Calgary. The installation allows people to enjoy the outdoors and public art while engaging in safe, physically-distanced activities. Through this collaboration, we are able to continue supporting Calgary artists during the Covid-19 pandemic and providing safe spaces for our community.

PARK and Brightside, both dedicated to advancing the work of local artists, commissioned Mikhail Miller and Rachel Ziriada to design a bold and colourful large-scale interactive installation that designates areas for physical distancing while overlooking some of the best views of the city.

— Interwoven coloured shapes form the composition just as interconnected friends and family form relationships with one another. The sculpture mirrors this energy with animation and harmony, encouraging connection and stimulating imagination.
